Job Summary:

The Program Manager role will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, within a fast-paced dynamic organization. The program manager will be responsible for the direction and performance for assigned projects, ensuring work is performed per project objectives, performance metrics, and accountable for project financial performance. They will lead internal and external cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The Program Manager will also work closely with senior leadership to define program strategies and resolve issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Leadership and Strategy:
    • Lead the planning and implementation of programs, aligning them with organizational goals. 
    • Develop program roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Communicate program vision, objectives, and progress to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other organization resources to ensure alignment and integration of efforts.
  2. Project Management:
    • Oversee the execution of multiple projects within the program, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Monitor and report on program performance, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
    • Identify and mitigate program risks and issues.
    • Ensure efficient resource allocation across various projects.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Foster collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders.
    • Manage program personnel and external partners/vendors, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned.
  4. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with management and client to report on program progress, risks, and successes.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across the organization.
    • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Budget and Resource Management: 
    • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
    • Track and report on financials, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase program efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collect feedback and learnings from completed programs to enhance future planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale complex projects in the life science industry (experience in cell and gene therapy, nuclear medicine, or biotech is required)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies 
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation
  • Preferred PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with teams or clients (30%)

 Hybrid location – Home base in Philadelphia, Boston, and St-Louis preferred
